Seeking Actors for Short Films at FAMU

Sent by Curtis Mathew (prahabulletinboard)

Czech actress Dasha Blahova’s senior film directing students in the
NYU international student program at FAMU are seeking English
speaking actors for short films. The films will be shot at various
times from November 8th to the end of November 2006. Acting
experience is preferable but not absolutely necessary. Interested
persons are asked to either send an acting resume and photo via email
to the current directors (see their contact information below) or
phone them directly for more details.
Actors are also invited to send a resume and photo to Dasha Blahova
(Dasha.Blahova@atlas.cz) . . . to be included in her available
actors’ file for future reference.

Film descriptions and characters needed:

Nick Carmen project: “Untitled”
I am shooting a short film (it will be a studio project) in a
couple weeks [mid November] and am looking for professional,
preferably English speaking, actors. The short film is about six
minutes long and will shoot for two days. It is also a performance
driven movie and I am interested in working with an experienced
actor.
The film is about a man (40-50 years old) who is in prison
for domestic violence and is wracked by guilt over how he treated his
family (wife and young daughter). He writes them letters and tries
to contact them, but they return his letters unopened and don’t
answer his phone calls.. I am looking to cast: The Man (age 40-50)
The Wife (age 40-50) The Daughter (age 8-10)
Director: Nick Carmen nick.carmen@gmail.com 775 086 361

Alisa Besher Project: “Untitled”
I am looking for a man in his forties and his younger brother, a man
in his early thirties. My story takes place in a Russian apartment,
so if they could have a European look to them that would be great.
I am shooting on the 13th and 14th of November

Shal Ngo project: “And the Wind It Ate Their Bones”
I am looking for three old men, in their 60s and 70s preferably, but
if they are younger but still look older that is also fine, and an
attractive young woman in her 20s with long hair. I will be shooting
on the 20th and 21st of November.
Director: Shal Ngo focusedpictures@yahoo.com 608 352 427.

Grigorij Richters project: “Imagine”
The film is set in 1969 and 1980 in Detroit, Michigan and Hawaii. The
actors have to be fluent in English and accent free. If you have
some colleagues who are interested, I would really like to see some
pictures if possible, they don’t have to fit the descriptions. I am
looking for three Male Actors in their 20s and one Male Actor
30s-40s. I will be shooting the end of November

Andrea Project: “Untitled”
Need a young man with comedic/slapstick sensibility and a young woman
with experience in drama.
