WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE’S 445TH BIRTHDAY
PSF SHAKESPEARE BIRTHDAY PARTY – APRIL 23RD, 2009
The Prague Shakespeare Festival, Prague’s only English-language based classical theatre company, is pleased to present an evening of music, food, drink and purple passages in honor of William Shakespeare’s 445th birthday. Open to everyone who loves theatre, Shakespeare, and birthdays, the PSF Shakespeare Birthday Party will be held at Prague‘s The Globe Bookstore and Café at Pštrossova 6 on Thursday April 23rd, 2009 beginning at 19:30.
Join PSF Artistic Director Guy Roberts and the PSF Artistic Company, as well as local favorites Gerry Turner, Adam Stewart, Lenka Novakova, Trevor Marshall and Steffen Silvis as they share, in English and Czech, some of Shakespeare’s most beloved passages. Original Shakespearean songs and musical entertainment is provided by Musical Director and Composer Ed Kliman (coming from the US just for this event) and features a special performance by Biljana Pelić.
The Globe is offering a unique Shakespeare inspired birthday dinner menu including spiced beef on cornbread and ginger bread with icing as well as a choice of mead or sack. Malmsey also available at the bar.
Dinner and Admission available for the all-inclusive price of 450Kč per person. General Admission (ticket only) price is 150Kč per person. Seating is limited and the event is sure to sell out so be sure to book in advance. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Globe Bookstore or at the PSF website: www.pragueshakespeare.cz
