If you don’t read, you’re pretty much guarenteed to not grow as an artist. While finding books in English is harder in Prague, this section is about what books to find and where to find them. All of the stores listed here have a limited selection of theater and acting books, but can order books.

This is the Theatre Institute’s partner bookshop. They probably have one of the biggest selections of theatre books in Prague. A quick check of their website shows that they have around 130 titles in English, but I’m not sure how many of those are in stock. One door down is the Theatre Institute’s library.

I don’t know anything about this site, but it looks like the place to start if you’re looking for books about the Performing Arts!
Mestska Knihovna hl. m. Prahy (Prague City Library)
This is a good place to get music. Their selection of English language books isn’t terrific, but they’ll have some Shakespeare as well as some classic literature.

This is THE theater bookstore. They have offices in New York, London, Toronto and Los Angeles. I’m not sure what their international shipping policy is (it doesn’t say on their website), but you should stop in their store EVERY TIME you go to one of those cities and pick something up.
